TOTAL MIX PRIVACY POLICY

Total Mix is a twice-weekly brief for lawyers who advise public companies. This
policy explains what it collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version: it collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no
email address. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any
kind. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted anywhere, because there is
nothing to transmit.


1. WHO WE ARE
--------------

2. WHAT WE COLLECT
-------------------

Nothing.

There is no account to create, so we never ask for your name, your email
address, your firm, your title, or anything else about you. There is no sign-in
screen because there is nothing to sign in to.

The app does not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, your
calendar, your advertising identifier, or any biometric data. It contains no
analytics software, no crash-reporting software, and no advertising software of
any kind. It does not record which items you read, how long you spend on them,
which ones you dismiss, or whether you open the app at all.


3. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
----------------------------

The app remembers a few things so it can behave sensibly. All of it lives on
your device and none of it is sent to us:

  - Which items in the current edition you have dismissed, so the list can
    empty as you work through it.
  - Which items you have starred, so you can find them again.
  - The editions you have already downloaded, so the app works offline.

This is kept in the app's own storage on your phone. Deleting the app deletes
all of it. We have no copy and no way to obtain one.


4. WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE
--------------------------

Two things, neither of which identifies you:

  - When the app fetches a new edition, it asks our database for the published
    items. That request carries no account, no identifier, and nothing about
    you. We do not log who asked.

  - When you tap through to read the original article, you leave the app and
    go to the publisher's own website. From that moment the publisher's privacy
    policy applies and ours does not. We are not told that you tapped, and we
    receive nothing back.


5. WHAT WE DO NOT DO
---------------------

  - We do not sell personal information. There is none to sell.
  - We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers.
  - We do not show advertising, and the app contains no ad software, which is
    why it never asks for permission to track you.
  - We do not build a profile of you, because we do not know who you are.
  - There is nothing to buy in this app. It is free, it has no subscription,
    and it contains no in-app purchases.


6. WHERE THE EDITIONS COME FROM
--------------------------------

Published editions are stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, on servers in
Canada. The database holds the brief itself - our own summaries, the topic and
urgency of each item, and a link to the original article. It holds nothing about
readers, because nothing about readers is ever sent to it.


7. CHILDREN
------------

This app is written for practising lawyers and is not directed to children. We
do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because
we do not collect personal information at all.


8. YOUR CHOICES
----------------

There is nothing to opt out of and no data to request, because none is held.
Deleting the app removes everything the app has kept on your phone. If you would
like to ask us anything about this, write to the address below.


9. CHANGES
-----------

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top
and note the change in the app. If the app ever begins collecting anything at
all, that change will be stated plainly and in advance.
