A screenshot is worth a paragraph. 2. COMMON QUESTIONS -------------------- Is this legal advice? No. Total Mix is not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Every card links to the source so you can read the underlying development yourself and reach your own conclusions. See the Terms of Use. Who writes the summaries? Nobody. They are generated automatically from published sources and are not reviewed by a lawyer before publication. There is no editor and no draft-approval step. This is stated in the app, in the Terms, and here, because it is the thing you most need to know when deciding how much weight to give a card. Why only three to five items? Because that is the product. You already receive more legal alerts than you can read. Total Mix reports the few developments that change what a public company lawyer advises, drafts, or files, and leaves out everything else on purpose. A quiet week produces a short edition rather than a padded one. Why Tuesday and Thursday? A fixed cadence you can plan around, published early enough Eastern time to be there before the working day starts. Five days a week there is no new edition, which is the point. Do I need an account? No. There is no sign-in, no email address, and nothing to create. Open the app and read. Does it work offline? Yes. Every edition you have downloaded stays on your phone, including the archive and anything you have starred. Fetching a new edition needs a connection; reading an old one does not. What happens when I dismiss a card? It disappears from the current edition and the list closes the gap. When the last card goes, you are done for that edition. Dismissed items remain in the Archive - dismissing clears your queue, it does not delete anything. I dismissed something by mistake. There is a restore control in the header of the Brief screen, which brings the whole edition back. There is no per-card undo, deliberately: the aim is a list that empties, not a list you manage. Is my reading tracked? No. The app contains no analytics and no tracking of any kind. What you have dismissed or starred is stored on your phone and never sent anywhere. We do not know whether you opened the app today, and cannot find out. Why does every card link out? Because a summary is not a substitute for the source. The link is there so you can read the actual development before relying on anything, and so the publication that did the work gets the visit. What is the Docket? A short forward calendar of dates found in the sources, extracted automatically. It is illustrative, never comprehensive, and it exists to jog your memory rather than to track your obligations. Verify every date against the source. The app deliberately sends no deadline reminders. Why is an item missing? Because the selection is deliberately narrow, and sometimes it will be wrong. Absence from an edition is not evidence that a development did not happen or does not matter. If something important was missed, please write in - that is useful. Is there an Android version? No. Total Mix is an iPhone app. 3. IF THE APP MISBEHAVES ------------------------- Two things worth trying before writing in: - Force-quit the app and open it again. - If a new edition has not appeared on a Tuesday or Thursday, check your connection and pull to refresh. A missed publication is possible; the brief is produced by an automated process and that process can fail. If neither helps, email us and say what you tried. 4. PRIVACY ----------- The short version: nothing is collected. No account, no email address, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising. What you dismiss or star stays on your phone.
